If you’re looking for a fun and delicious treat that will wow your guests, look no further than this festive Popcorn Cake recipe! This is my mom’s signature treat…or one of them at least! She always uses the fun holiday M&M’s to make them super festive. When I was little, my favorite was the Christmas colored M&M’s! It is only right I share this one with you. These were from the 4th of July celebration we had! Not one was left behind.

 Combining the crunch of popcorn, the sweetness of marshmallows, the richness of butter, the colorful pop of M&Ms, and the satisfying crunch of peanuts, this cake is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Popcorn Cake

This popcorn cake is the perfect blend of crunchy popcorn, gooey marshmallows, creamy butter, colorful M&Ms, and crunchy peanuts in this irresistible popcorn cake recipe. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 12 cups Popcorn (1/2 cup kernels)
  • 10 oz Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 cup M&M's
  • 1 cup Dry Roasted Peanuts

Instructions
 

  • Pop the popcorn using your favorite air popper. If you don't have one yet, I highly recommend [this air popper on Amazon](insert Amazon affiliate link), which ensures perfectly popped kernels every time.
  • n a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and coat thoroughly. Allow to cool for a little bit before adding peanuts and M&M's so they do not melt.
  • Using a spatula or your hands (coated with cooking spray to prevent sticking), gently mix until all the popcorn, M&Ms, and peanuts are evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Press down firmly using a piece of wax paper or greased hands to flatten and compact the mixture evenly.
  • Allow the popcorn cake to cool and set for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares or slices.
